A FIELD GUIDE TO CARING FOR YOUR WOODEN BOARDS

Much like your treasured silver pieces, Wooden Feast or Plantation Boards will occasionally need a shine. To keep your board looking beautiful and well conditioned we offer our signature Wood Preserve made with 100% natural beeswax from a local farm in North Carolina and food-grade coconut oils which we blend and pour by hand in our own studio. The texture is a whipped consistency that is ideal for evenly spreading and polishing your board.

To clean your board, we suggest using kitchen towel with mild soap and water as needed; rinse and immediately towel dry then allow to air dry thoroughly. Never allow board to sit or soak in water and never put in dishwasher. Occasionally, to freshen and sanitize we suggest using fresh lemon juice to lightly coat board and sprinkle with salt using half of a lemon to scrub. Allow board to dry then brush or scrape salt off with rubber spatula taking care not to scuff board. Wipe clean with damp kitchen towel and allow to air dry thoroughly. Occasionally you may wish to lightly sand in direction of wood grain using 400 grit sandpaper taking care to wipe away dust. Once you have cleaned or refreshed your board, to recondition we suggest you apply our signature Wood Preserve and wait for a few hours or overnight before hand polishing with a soft, lint free kitchen towel. Properly cared for Feast Boards and Plantation Boards should provide generations of service.
